I suppose it's possible. I generally try to keep them around 37-40 psi or so. It's rated at 50 max but I never do that high.

That's a very strange wear pattern. New tires + full front/rear alignment is necessary.

Check the inflation pressure on the vehicle door jamb. Always go by the car manufacturer recommended pressure, NOT the pressure on the tire sidewall. If the sticker is gone from the door jamb you should be able to find the owners manual online.
